Resident throughout South Asia north to the Himalayan foothills, from the borderlands of northeastern Afghanistan and central Pakistan east to Myanmar and into foothills of western Yunnan, and south to Karachi, Sri Lanka, the Irrawaddy Delta, and locally across the border into central-western Thailand (Khao Laem National Park).<\/p>

Introduced populations are established on the Arabian Peninsula, several tropical Pacific island groups, and locally elsewhere.<\/p>
